OWNER/SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

​

Olga is a Tennessee State licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Prior to starting private practice, Olga worked with adults of all ages in a variety of settings: acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation and Nursing Home.

 

Olga received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She maintains certification in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and her Tennessee license.

Olga specializes in treating exclusively adult clients with swallowing difficulties, receptive/expressive language deficits, speech production impairments, and cognitive-communication impairments (memory, attention, executive functioning). Olga works with clients diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and cancer, and with clients recovering from stroke and traumatic brain injuries.

Olga believes in a holistic evidence-based approach in working with clients. She  designs treatment plans specific to each individual client’s needs in order to help with successful integration into their living and working environments, including maintaining their social lives and strengthening their interactions with family and friends. Each client’s family has an extremely important role in their loved one's recovery process, helping to establish and generalize skills necessary to maximizing their independence and achieving their goals. This approach helps to increase success with recovery and decrease frustration, and also provides an opportunity to grow together and become closer.

 

Olga speaks English, Italian, and Russian fluently.
